Austin was so informative for overall house inspection! Especially drone screening for the roof was very impressive since stepping on it can damage on the tile roof. Also, he gave me flexibility for scheduling since I was only available on saturday and had to do this inspection ASAP. I highly recommend him for house inspection!

I found myself in a pickle with a new home build in southeast Sarasota, particularly with the quality and color of the high end tile roof. The builder’s response left me with a fair degree of uncertainty. In the interim while waiting for an appropriate action plan, I did the usual internet search and by luck found the Blair’s Property Inspection site. I called the local number and to my great amazement, the owner answered, no calling center, no voice mail, no referral to a contact site, no annoying music loop…..just to the PERSON. In short order a site inspection was scheduled and a full report with drone photos and solid understandable recommendations was in my email inbox in 48 hours for a reasonable fee. SOLID…..

Blair may perform exemplary home inspections, however the gentleman he sent out to perform our inspections (who introduced himself as a "claims adjuster"), Clyde, DOES NOT. He missed obvious safety issues and none of the many issues were documented in the inspection report. I've reached out to owner Blair, who initially showed what appeared to be genuine concern. When I followed up today, over a month later after not hearing back, he responded that he is very busy, working 7 days a week. I hope he is able to make time from his busy schedule to assist with our many concerns we have been unfortunately left with after Clyde's less than stellar inspections. Edit: Thank you for your response indicating that your inspections are conducted to provide clear and RELIABLE information. As I explained in my correspondence to you, our concerns were indeed brought to your attention upon move in when I couldn't open my window and everything else. I do understand your comment below, however the number of errors and omissions were numerous, most significant, and all were items that would not have changed given a month or two (eg a fixed metal grate over the dryer vent, the rotted man door in the garage, broken and caulked shut windows, lack of handrails, no gfci's in wet areas, outside outlets not installed in covered boxes, missing hardware and broken hurricane shutters, drywall installed over the sliders, etc. Even the errors would not have changed, eg the manufacturer of the windows, Corian and marble versus granite, having SWR when the wind mit erroneously indicated it did not (you did make this change for my insurance company) etc. The glaring mistakes on almost every page of the inspection report support my claim that nothing was meticulously, or even generally, looked at. In fact, if you reference the inspection reports themselves, at least 8 of the issues are clearly visible in the pictures (that were taken by Clyde, on the day of the inspection). It is truly unfortunate that you initially apologized and admitted in writing that our experience "clearly fell short of your standards", expressed that you would be reviewing each issue point by point, would like to discuss next steps to make this right and to ensure all concerns are properly addressed and resolved to my satisfaction, however when I did not hear back and followed up last month, I was informed that you were very busy working 7 days a week. It truly pains me to think that we purchased several inspections from your company, however despite hiring a company with exemplary reviews, thinking we were doing the right thing, my family was instead left in a vulnerable and unsafe situation. We relied on and trusted in your company's knowledge, expertise and thoroughness to properly and thoroughly identify issues to make a very large decision or to make arrangements for any necessary remediation. To say I feel like we were let down tremendously, especially during a time we trusted in your co to be our eyes and ears, would be an understatement. And, as if the pictures don't speak for themselves (and I can post many more) - I would like to clarify also in regards to the "timeline" - closing on a home typically takes 30-45 days, or longer. In our case, the home was vacant during the inspection and everything was accessible. He is correct that I did reach out in approx two mo, upon closing and move in (why would this be unusual, given that the closing had not yet occurred at the time of the inspection, or even soon after?). Was I expected to return to the property to inspect the inspection (ie "re-inspect") on the 5th, when I read the report (esp when there were no concerns raised)? If I were the business owner, I would have personally been out the next day (to do my own "visual assessment") to investigate the issue. The fact that he would send an email to me apologizing in Jan, only to now say that I was "delayed" in reporting, is simply ludicrous. and using my experience/review as a marketing ploy makes one wonder if positive reviews are also incentivized?Buyer beware :-(

Austin Blair did an awesome job inspecting our house and preparing a wind mitigation for our new insurance coverage. I called him one day, and he was out to my home the following day. I had a comprehensive report that evening, we and had no problem with the report from our new insurance company. Austin was professional, efficient and thorough.

Blair's did a phenomenal job on our home inspection reports. The paperwork was perfectly formatted, detailed, and delivered quickly. They made sure all the critical wind mitigation and core systems were documented exactly the way underwriters want to see them. Because of their thorough work, our insurance shopping process was an absolute breeze. Will absolutely use them again! Thank you! Austin!

Excellent, prompt service. After contacting Blair’s I immediately received a response with a date for my home inspection (which was 2 days after contacting them). The inspection was completed by Austin who informed me 40 minutes in advance of arrival. Received the inspection report the evening of the inspection. I highly recommend!
